Horses at the beach?

Greg wanted to head to the beach to take pictures of the sunset. We were walking down the beach, and I could see these things out in the water but it took me a bit to realize they were people on horses!

The horses seemed to like the water, even though it was FREEZING!!! I mean, this is Lake Superior, people. Icy.

This is where the river flowed out into the lake, and the water from the river was really warm. This was like moments before my pants got drenched when the sandy riverbank I was walking on collapsed.
