I think it's because we're so close to Canada that we get the CBC channel. Tonight they were showing the women's 20km race walk. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in the Olympics. I didn't even know it was an Olympic event. This picture kind of shows the weirdness of the race walk that the women do. It's so odd-looking. And if both of your feet leave the ground you get a red card and three red cards means you're disqualified. It was just weird.

haha....first of all, that fungus IS weird...secondly, we get that canadian channel too..haha, I didn't see this event, however, when we do races we see a lot of competetive walkers, and I'm not joking, they PASS me while I am running! Some of those people are WAY fast! I just stare at them like "What, are you kidding me?" haha!!! We missed this event on tv though, must of been hilarious to watch. I think the weirdest event in the olympics that we have seen so far has got to be the trampoline...where they just jump on the trampoline and do flips....????Werid times 100!

I was totally gonna comment on the trampoline event too!! That and... I had no idea there was speed walking- so they're equally as weird. I thought we had the CBC channel and I looked through the whole guide- but apparently not haha!! I think I confused it with CNBC. More importantly, that fungus is horribly disgusting =(
