Making cookies
2008.12.22
Here I am at the beginning, when the dough was still warm and the cookies were working out great. I look totally weird here, and I'm not sure why.

My mom got me this cookie press last year for Christmas. Every year, I always make sugar cookies which take hours to make and frost, so this year I thought I'd just make some spritz cookies with the cookie press and it would be super easy and not take a lot of time. You can see where this is going, right?
So at first, the cookies were coming out and it was working great! I was like, yeah, this won't take long at all. Plus they only bake for 7 minutes, so I figured we'd be done in an hour. Well, gradually, the cookies stopped working out so well. That's where Greg came in. He inspected everything and figured out that that dough was getting too hard to come out of the cookie press. Why? Because our house was TOO FRICKIN' COLD. Yeah, because Greg insists on keeping the house freezing cold, the cookie dough was getting too hard. He warmed it up using the heat from the oven and things worked out better. Still, pretty funny.
