==Calling Israel a Nazi State== Israel may not be a perfect nation, and in many ways it has not been allowed to exist in normal circumstances, by any means, but for Roseanne Barr to call it a Nazi State shows just how little she knows about or understands the dire circumstances that face Israel every single moment! She compared Hamas to two rival and historic L.A. gangs, which is not only offensive to those particular gangs, but is totally absurd! The two gangs in question never teach children to strap on explosives and commit murderous suicidal terrorist attacks, they do not launch missiles into Beverly Hills or into Hollywood, and they certainly do not call for the destruction of Hollywood/Beverly Hills and the annihilation of famous movie stars and celebrities! Hamas hides behind relatively innocent men, women and children, which includes most Gaza Palestinian Arabs, and then launches indiscriminate missile attacks into Israel, even though Israel no longer occupies Gaza! Hamas teaches poor and relatively uneducated people, even young children and young adults, to do the most inhuman thing: to commit suicide attacks! And Hamas, which is serving the interests of fanatic pseudo-Islamic extremists and not the interests of relatively peaceful Palestinian Sunnite-majority Muslims, has attempted to create a situation that, had Israel not acted on time, would certainly have caused even greater numbers of innocent casualties! When Roseanne Barr, who uses her Jewish ancestry to try to give legitimacy to her ill-advised and misinformed opinions, calls Israel a Nazi State, she not only seriously harms efforts at creating a long-term, viable peace in the region, but she endangers the security and safety of millions of people all over the world, Jewish and otherwise, who understand that there is no room for legitimizing terrorism. My reason for writing this is because Wikipedia's entry on this issue is too brief and relatively sterile, compared to the seriousness of the controversy at hand. Celebrities, especially Jewish celebrities, have all the right to criticize excessive actions taken by Israel, but to use their status to help re-enforce public misconceptions should not be met with silence on the part of responsible intellectuals, whether they be Palestinians, Israelis, Jews or Muslims. Wikipedia has a responsibility to report facts and that includes reactions from alternate and opposing sources. ~~~~ |

Please stop the terror! Please stop giving false hope to extremists who refuse to accept any decent form of compromise! Please stop expecting people to stand by with their hands tied to their backs who are being threatened with extinction and who are being bombed all the time! Please stop showing mostly one side of the story! Please stop failing to show the kind of hatred and outright racism and religious intolerance that is being taught to infants and children! Please stop misrepresenting the actual full History of the region, where the true story of the Philistini (a non-Arab Mediterranean ethno-cultural people virtually wiped out by the Canaanites!) and the Canaanites (another non-Semitic people, whom the tribe of Abraham conquered and married into!) is hushed-up and swept under the rug! Please stop forgetting that the Arab Semitic people did not predominate the lands of Egypt (the original Egyptians were not Arabs!), the lands of Canaan, Judea and Samaria or even the lands of Assyria and Babylon! Please stop forgetting that the Arab people only came into the region and North Africa during the Islamic Conquest...some of which was done with brute force! Please do not forget that when Europe was in The Dark Ages, good Muslims and good Jews were building together the whole future of Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Astronomy and Geography!!! Please stop forgetting that even The Prophet Mohammed, May He Be With G-D, taught Muslims to respect and not harm good Jews, good Christians and any others who accept that G-D is ONE and G-D is GREAT! Please stop blaming Jews from all over the world, of all ethnic mixes, some having more Semitic ancestry than others, for seeking to have ONE....JUST ONE....TINY place to call home! Just 0.2 % of all the land-mass that is occupied by nations that are safe for Muslims! And in a land that all Three Monotheisms can share! Please stop misrepresenting the source of the conflict! Please stop preventing relatively moderate leaders, including President Mahmoud Abbas, from making a relatively viable and relatively fair peace with Israel! Please do not expect Israel to ever forfeit the security of all Jews! Please stop forgetting that if Israel did not exist the world would still find some excuse to blame The Jews, then The Gypsies, then The Palestinian Arabs, then The Tootsies and The Hootoos, then The Gays, Lesbians and Bisexuals, then The Anglicans, then The ETC........!!!! |

Peace will have to come ASAP, and Israel will make peace with relatively moderate Palestinians like President Mahmoud Abbas...and the peace will not be perfect at first, but provided time for it to evolve the Whole World will Change and Become Truly Tolerant and Peaceful! Till then don't ask only ONE SIDE to stop the War! Everyone has the right to Self-Defense. Israel can only safely remove its troops from The West Bank when there is an officially signed Peace Agreement and a Sensible Mechanism for the Responsible Transfer of Authority! Until then Israel will do and must do what it can to survive!
