Sword dancers in Hawaiian shirts. This is Takoma Park, after all. What you can't see here is that they all have these flexible "swords" and they do this complex interweaving dance where they swords all end up intertwined in a star at the end

This is dedicated to megaera, a lifelong lover and supporter of Morris dancing. ;)
For a while now every May Day morning the folkies of Takoma Park have gathered by the Old Town gazebo to make sure that the sun comes up. As you can see, it worked once again this year.
