Como Conservatory, Visit One, Part One

2008.04.27
Coleus. I love coleus. I always have lots of it in my garden.

An orange lily?

Orange lily again.

Orchids.

Orchids.

I don't know what this thing is, but I like the colors.

I wasn't sure which angle would be best for the peace lily.

From the front.

Peace lily close up.

Classic orchid. It looks like it's been in a bit of a fight.

This thing was called a shrimp something--supposedly it looks like a shrimp? I don't see it.

Pretty orchid close up.

Pretty orchid.

Orchid, anyone?

This was very tiny. I'm not sure what it is. It kind of looks like an alien.

This was very, very tiny. Like the size of my pinky fingernail.

This was even tinier than the last flower.

It looks...like an orchid?

Not sure--it's an orchid, I think.

A spotted orchid?

Dunno...

Is this a red peace lily?

I have no idea what this is either.

Some kind of yellow orchid.

Not sure what these are. I'm horrible at identifying flowers.

Grape hyacinths.

Today I went to the Como Park Conservatory and took pictures until my camera ran out of batteries. There are too many for one post, so I'll have to post the rest tomorrow. I am going to go again next Sunday and repeat this process--there were several flowers and assorted shrubberies that I didn't get a chance to photograph. I am also just beginning to learn how to use the camera settings, so I apologize for the blurred bits and suchlike--I'm still getting my bearings with this camera.
