A little while ago I got in touch with a local 'real' photographer and wanted to learn more about lighting and what's involved in taking real model photo's. David was very cool and nice enough to let me tag along on one of his shoots and put me to work holding a light in place. Cool guy. Cool model. The makeup and dress girl were cool.

A good experience all around and I soaked up everything I could. One of the most amazing things was David had a reflector and I was STUNNED how much natural light that thing could reflect in a shady environment like the woods here. For the strobist folks - in this shot I was to camera left holding a flash up over the model's head, there was another flash on a stand in back and that nuclear powered reflector to camera right.
