Beach

I got a new lens today and ended up at the beach. The lighthouse pic was at a full 200mm (on a crop camera nonetheless!) and it's still way out there. My longest lens up to now has been 50mm and that lighthouse is just a wee tiny thing in my pics.

Ever since getting my dSLR I've been trying to get a really good photogenic sunset. I've gotten close, and today looked promising but the red ball is as good as it got. Ran this one through a warming filter to get a bit more red into it. Oneday I'll get a fantastic sky-on-fire sunset. Until then I'll keep trying.
