New Lens

Test pic from a new lens I got today - Canon 85mm f/1.8. This pic isn't the greatest to show it off but I don't have the time to mess around with it right now, this is more of a point and shoot pic using AV.

I will say that at 66.6% file size on my 15" monitor, I can count individual eyelashes and make out detail that I normally wouldn't see. The reputation this lens has definitely is warranted. Now, to get my daughter to sit still long enough that I can get some really nice portraits, which is why I bought this.

EDIT: Grabbed a few minutes to play with it a bit more and took the 2nd picture, f/1.8 just to show some DOF using my dogs lower eye as the focal point. I like this lens from the git-go, but I'm REALLY starting to like this lens! Can't wait to see what it can really do when my skills improve and also mounted on a tripod.
