wow, wow, wow WOW! :-) i don't know if i should wish that you make front page with this wonderful picture or not; in a way, i want to be one of the few insiders that have found your precious art here on photoblog, in another way, i'd want to see you getting famous, rich and overwhelmed with appreciation... :-)
this reminds me of the famous apollo 11 lunar module picture which always inspired me, since i am a little boy, to reach out for the stars - may you implant the same dream into your child! :-)
Great post Monika,
and even better made so by Stromfish's contribution.
You know, the first images of the Earth to be broadcast from that mission in 1968 changed human thinking and behavior beyond comprehension. The metanarrative was being torn asunder by the civil rights movement in America, women's liberation movement, the student revolution in France the worker's revolution in Italy, Mohammod Ali as the world champion and a million other things...but the single most profound and influential moment was that picture of the Earth being shown to millions of people. It changed all human perception and concept of ourselves and identity like nothing has ever done before or since. This was the first time ever anyone on the planet had seen the planet as anything other than lines on paper or as a globe with no reference to space. The end of metanarrative conspiracy and the birth of post-modernism.

Great title. I have tried scuba diving and I loved the freedom of movement and the sense that I was slowly flying! Very beautiful picture!
