Carrick-a-Rede means 'Rock in the road'. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a rope suspension bridge in the Northern Ireland. It links the mainland to the tiny Carrick Island. The bridge is thirty metres above the rocks below and the past it was used by fishermen to reach Carrick Island where they fished salmons. There we had the major part of our Saturday morning, with an incredible luck about the weather if you consider that it mid-november in Ireland.
