Despite the limitation of the camera, the composition and the content of the picture itself ia already very nice. :)

Yes, I know your frustration. It is very hard to get a shot like this and also be very clear. I think this shot is reletively good. About all you can do is shoot at a very fast shutter speed and wide appture. It looks like you did a good job. cool shot! Mike:)

I know what you mean. Your camera has a max of 3 frames per second. The D300 is 6 frames per second. However, I do not think either one can re-focus on the fly at those speeds. Once the initial focus point is established on the first frame, that is it. I noticed your shot is an f2.8. If you could (ideally) get a fast shutter speed combined with more DoF, the focus point would be extended for slight changes. Hey...all that said... Great shot!!!

hey, i really love it. I love the bit of water you've got on an angle at the bottom, nice touch. I'm with you, sometimes we do expect our cameras to perform miracles! Nice work.

aaaahhh..endless frustrations arn't there?! Always something to challenge and test us. While not tack sharp, it has your signature glow and softness which I actually think works very well. This shot is a little dream like.

This is SO fantastic! It just makes me smile and smile. I love the blue of the sky, and the expression on that baby's face. I don't know that I could have watched it, though - I'd be too nervous!

YIKES... was this "for real"? I would think child protective services would be after the guy!

Dancing Dolphin: I was crouched very low in the sand which makes it look like baby is 'flying' higher than she actually was. Mommy (Dana) was right near Daddy and Baby was loving it. It was quite safe. No worries!
