I might be reading too much into this, but it sure looks to me as though we are going to have an addition to the swan family before too long. Mom never left the nest the entire time I walked the perimeter, while dad cruised around looking for snacks. I will try to keep you posted.

Can I give you a hint Larry? When taking shots (especially in bright sunlight) of pure white things such as this swan, it is a good idea to reduce the exposure by about 1 stop, and avoid the burnt out highlights which is what is happening here. The boating lake swans, here in my little town, are due to start hatching their eggs tomorrow, so I will be down there to catch the moment the chicks start to appear.
