Wind Fairies

On my lunch walk I saw this young girl chasing dandelion seedlings being airborne. She was trying to catch them by running after them.

She had a hard time catching them drifting up in to the sky. I ask her what she was doing and why she tried to catch them she told me they were wind fairies and each time she caught one she was able to make a wish and the wish would come true. A most interesting tale. Asking her if it was a story she learned form her culture she was of aboriginal ethnicity. She said no that she made it up because the fairies could only fly when it was windy.

The next thing we both ran after her wind fairies she with her hands and me snapping them with my camera. To say the least a very difficult catch with a camera still got some good effects. The child’s name was Riana she told me she was 9 years old.

I wish I had taken a photo of her now as she was running after her fairies.
