i echo sunshineand's comment, you captured the stickyness of the webs so well! and it's not a trivial thing at all! human-engineered structures are rigidly fastened together (nails, screws, etc...) but the spider uses the very different technology of glue, and uses it at every junction to absorb energy from incoming prey and prevent the structure from collapsing.
