The Vyne

2008.03.24
On Good Friday we visited this 16 century house and garden in Hampshire, owned by the National Trust and built for Henry VIII's Lord Chancellor Lord Sandys.

It was a crisp cold afternoon and luckily the sleet arrived as we left.

Uncle Dodo My favourite historical period, treading in the steps of Henry VII, his first two queens and his daughter who visited the Vyne as Queen in her own right - Elizabeth of course - lovely, thanks for sharing.
