Lino Men

2008.07.01
In Staines High Street visitors may be intrigued to see a remarkable memorial statue of two “Lino” workers reminding people that Staines was once the leading producer of linoleum floor covering, a major industry which was founded in 1864 by its inventor Frederick Walton. At one time as many as 300 workers produced “Staines Lino” which was sold all over the world. Lino eventually went out of fashion and the factory closed in the 1960’s.

slowpete great set. one suggestion though. I would have gone for a slightly shallower DOF to let the staue stand out more. a F stop of around 5 Me thinks. But that is just my opinion
