My uncle used to work in a boatyard; a stray cat started hanging around which he fed and it took to living in the boatsheds. He called it Cruet (Crew It), but soon found out it was pregnant. The kittens were called Salt and Pepper. One of my fondest childhood memories is of driving over there with him on Christmas morning so he could feed the cat.
