Fungus

A pile of pruned tree branches have lain for months during the wet and cold weather and after clearing them up one branch had sprouted fungus.

????? I see little mushroom patches sprouted lawns as I drive down the street ... not sure why they sprout there. I like the composition and detail of the first.

extralarge if it is a stone, wet, cold and wind can make fairy chimneys (in my country) if it is a wood can be fongus.
