Golden Gate Bridge

It was a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco last Saturday when our cruise ship docked and we disembarked , ready to catch our flight back to the UK. It had been touch and go as to whether we could fly home as BA decided to strike and our flight had been cancelled. But at the last minute our flight was re-instated and the strike put off until Monday. If we had been flying back 2 days later we would have had an extra 5 days stranded in SF which would have been great instead of the 2 hours we had. Having spent 5 days there back in the mid-90s while touring California for 3 weeks I was hoping for another break there.

It's a beautiful city and very cosmopolitan. Having travelled all over the world it is 1 of the few places I feel I could relocate to. Vancouver being another.

You might think why post this 3rd shot. It was because of the pelicans basking in the sun. I had only seen them in St James' Park London until I saw them in California and it was a special treat to also see them in Aruba, 1 of our caribbean ports of call.
