Sunday Drive

2007.09.25

Beautiful location for a Sunday Drive.

Starfish?!

This is one of my favorite shots! I love the shallow DOF and the sharpness on and under the leaf. And I didn't blow the Red Channel! Wahoo!

Okay, what can I say? Heidi doesn't understand my enthusiasm for Fungi and why in the world I like to take pictures of them! I'm not entirely sure myself, but I think this is really cool!

Madison and Tippet ... flyfishing buddies!

Oh! in another week ...

I love the way the red maple leaves pop against the rocks and the gray rock at the top of the frame shaped like a heart.

Heidi's not a big fan of the motion blur either! Okay, maybe I should have used a faster shutter speed for a slightly different effect, but hey, that's what makes photography so personal!

These are a few shots from a Sunday afternoon drive near Mt. Rainier National Park. This is Berry Creek, just on the outskirts of the park near Ashford, WA.

Soon the wood will be alive with all its splendor. As it was, we had splashes of color, and perfect diffused light for displaying what color we did find as magically as possible.

We also took our newly acquired dog "Tippet" for a ride to the creek. Our dog Madison isn't what you would consider a 'water dog', so having a Retriever like Tippet is quite the change! It's obvious what they were bred to do in life!

Hope you enjoy.

mattandbranson I am falling in love with your blog! =) I personally love the slow shutter speeds and wish that I had a digital that was a little more versatile. Beautiful location and beautiful captures!
