This is a superb moon shot, Matt. Done with «only» a 300mm lens!? There's a lot of details there! Finding the right exposition for the moon is hard: enough to have a bright white moon, but not too much so that all details are lost. But this one is just perfect! Madoc · 2008-01-10: 21:51

there's something about the moon that has always fascinated me. i love looking at it at night and thinking about how this huge ball is just suspended up there and slowly moving around the earth. it amazed me - and i love seeing the craters and the colors and sizes it takes on depending on how close/far it is from the horizon. thanks for sharing this and reminding me of it - reminds me of summer and lying on the beach at night gazing up. lexlevans · 2008-01-11: 11:19

Wonderful! I tried this some weeks ago, took me 20 shots to get it right??? Its not so easy. First 10 were all over exposed :-) Never posted it because i have only a 200mm and had to crop to much.
