Wow..I hope someday I will be able to take "iffy" photo's - these are just great, Mat, the colors and texture are SO rich...I can smell the PNW!! It's a bugger when life gets in the way of what we'd really like to be doing...but sometimes it just does and then we should just let photoblog go and take care of life! Happy Friday to you, Mat!

It seems to me, it would be VERY difficult to do P365 by posting consistently technically outstanding photos each day. I'm not doing 365 myself but am "forcing" myself to shoot as much as I can and obviously with "life" getting in the way you cant post photos of amazing landscapes and beautiful birds all the time. I think Lindy is right, you have super high expectations which I don't think would allow you to post run of the mill photos.......Which isn't a bad thing!!!! At all. I think it's called artistic integrity ;) Anywho.... Im sure you know what im gonna say about your shots because I say it all the time. Beautiful work!!..

Arggg..I hope I haven't offended anyone doing project 365!!!.. I don't mean that your photos aren't technically wonderful.......*blush*..i should just shut up now.

Those aren't iffy! Great shots! I agree with Lindy and Ellen, if only I could take "iffy" photos some day!

Hey... I thought we were going to get to see some more FISHING shots when you had an off day!!?? I started out with the 365 idea .... now my goal is shots taken within a FEW days of posting.... honestly, the world just isn't that interesting 365 days a year! Nice shots.. great texture on the log.

Very cool!! I know how hard it is to get out everyday? What am I saying no I don't I take at least 100 snaps a day and 200 on the weeknd, but if we go hiking I take 400 to 500 now that is just crazy! Thank goodness for the external hard drive! Your IFFY folder is great can't wait to see more!! Like the water in #2 it is almost milk, but not quite! Very cool!

Thanks for the encouraging comments. I don't feel like we are completely in the same boat here. Now if you could let me have your iffy files and let me take credit for taking them, I would be on top of my game. You are truly that "good"! Thanks again, friend!

you 'iffy' folder is still fantastic! and anything that's lush and green right now looks good to me. we are buried under half a foot or more of snow right now and it's still coming down hard! i know it's not that much compared to other places (alaska... the UP of michigan...Fargo...the list goes on...) but we usually get spared in the city while the burbs usually get the worst of it! it gets really hard to get around when no one shovels in the city... i love the ferns in #2, reminds me of northern michigan in the summertime!!

How in the world these are iffy is beyond me. These are gorgeous. The water looks magical and mystical. I want to learn to use slow shutter speeds and create something like this. You need to pat yourself on the back Mat!

If my iffy folder looked like yours, trust me I'd post everyday and twice on Sunday. Another great set.

Your iffy folder is awesome! Stellar shots!! I sometimes throw things in a "post" folder under a certain subject & then come back to it & discard & fine tune, then post. I wish I had the time that some people have to post & comment more. Your blog is one of my faves!

I like how the glow of the sun hits the top of #1 and then the shot transitions vertically to the darker lower portion. And of course I love the water effects in #2, but I also like how soft the ferns look! I think these both deserved their time to shine online =P
