Sometimes, one just has to put down the camera and fish! Photo credit to Heidi. This would be your's truly!!!

Can anyone tell who's the bigger sucker in this shot?! =) This is somewhat of a tradition of ours. Whomever catches a sucker, must 'kiss' it! Again, photo credit to Heidi.

I love the majesty of the Rockies. What a blessed time to be able to spend time doing what you love with family in some of God's most beautiful country.

This is me and Reilley back in 2005. Yes, Rei started flyfishing when he was 2 1/2 and he's already becoming quite the accomplished flyfisher!

Great set! I really like #3, the one Heidi took of you. Great sky and great scenery!

OMgosh, Heidi & the kids are too darn CUTE! I'm assuming the crew are your children. My two youngest are asking me what I'm laughing at (pic #4). My daughter saw the the photo and started yelling at her brother to come see the funny man kissing a fish. You made a 7 yo's night! lol Now onto serious stuff. #3 is so amazing. I love your deep and sharp dof. I'm lost in that pic. #5, 7 and 10 I love too. Wish I owned the house in #7! Wowza! *note* wish we could edit our comments. I'm queen of typos.

I agree with CC...you have a lovely looking family! And #3 is my favorite, too...it is so well shot. I have to say I love the shots with the snow on the trees, too...just softens the world and makes it a better place. Great set of photos, Mat!

Love that 7th shot! great angle on that one. That thing on his back they use it to walk on the snow, no? You must explain why you are all in the water?? we never do that, scares the fish away:-)

Beautiful pics, gorgeous family, however I think your brother needs to remember there aren't many tree fish...unless there's a rare, endangered species west of the Ole Miss!

What a tradition! So, did you ever have to kiss one too? My absolute favourite is the shot with the two little fishin`Buddies! Soo much is written on their faces... proudness, concentration, excitement! I can hardly wait to do such stuff with Jamie! This is a fantastic hobby... so close to nature (well if you kiss a fish, you can`t get any closer to nature, can you?) Wonderful!

Thanks for the privilege of sharing this precious part of your family life with us. I can realate to your brother "fishing for owls" ha ha! I've spent hours learning to be patient with overhanging trees, coaxing them into returning lures and lines... My brother just laughs at me! I can't understand why ;-)
