I liked this shot with the 4 little guys flying from the pole. Not sure what they're pointing at, but it almost looks like they're presenting the needle to the entire blogging community.

Yes indeed, Heidi is 7' tall! LOL. Guess that's what lying on the ground, looking up with a 12mm lens and trying to get ao 600+' foot tower into the frame will do for you!

I think these are fantastic! I'd love to be there at night with all the lights on.

haha - should i be paying you for promoting my blog?? :-) it's funny because i didn't even post an architecture shot today. ok, chicago may have some pretty cool buildings - but we are lacking a space needle. actually they have this crazy building that they want to build here that looks like a giant nail... but even so, it's not the same because i think the nail is pretty ugly while the space needle is pretty awesome. and i had no idea it was built for the world's fair - which actually gives seattle and chicago a little something in common. :-) i love the 7' heidi. that's just awesome. great set! :-)

Is it actually possible to have any more visitor's to your blog? I think its safe to assume just about the whole of PB visit you regularly......I wonder why....*scratches head* I would really love to employ your services in taking a portrait of me in the vein of #7 some day. I could really do with some extra inches and Heidi looks like she has legs that go for miles in that shot. I'm imaginng the looks you got from tourists as you lay on the floor shooting up at her..lol ..But well worth it! Awesome perspective.....like wise with #8. And your so right about the comment in #1...They certainly help point out the star of the photo! You should depart from your comfort zone more often. It agrees with you :)

I agree with Danielle Betty looks hot woo hoo!!

very nice shots up against that blue blue sky. what the heck is in a space needle anyway? or is it just a big hunk of structure?

Love the space shot. I'll have to have my husband lay on the ground to get a picture of me that I can post (laughter). Anxiously awating your next post.

Great pics. It's weird, you see that all your life, drive by it on the freeway, and never give it another thought. It's just always there. I do hope you got some good shots up inside!!

I like Heidi in # 4! I think sometimes it is good to switch it up a little and take things that are not your "norm". All these are great! Wonderful set!

Looking from below, the top of the tower looks like a giant mashroom! Love the grow effect of the wide angle! Whatever you photograph, you always keep a surprise! Well done, dear Mat!

These are awesome shots. You really got perspective of how massive the Space Needle is in person. The pic of Heidi looking up at it is perfect. Sure sounds like you had a great day with your family. Now I'm so darn curious what you are posting tomorrow!

Great marketing ploy :-) Very nice space needle shots. I like the 4 guys pointing at the needle, Ive never noticed them before. The carousel shot has great composition. Love the shot of Heidi in #4. It is a very difficult thing to do to shoot someone at the bottom of the tower and get the whole thing!

I LOVE #2 and 4. Great shot of Heidi! I need someone to photograph me and make me look 7' tall! Great shots as always. I love Seattle! I think everyone just SAYS it rains there all the time to keep us all away. It's the best kept secret!

It is a sign of a true photographer if you lie on the concrete, in the middle of a public place, just to get the right photo. Great shots! (I love Seattle!)
