Crazy Relatives And Portraits

As promised, more C.R.A.P! =)

Hopefully everyone understands that the commentary to these posts have been somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Yesterday's shot wasn't necessarily bad, just not something that I normally shoot, and it didn't really move me. In the spirit of branching out though ...

These are just a few quick portraits from our recent trip to Seattle. My nephew Kyler had been wanting to go up to the top of the Space Needle. So we decided to make use of the glorious weather we were having, spend an outrageous amount of money on a lunch that left us unsatisfied, coupled with a terribly expensive ride up the Space Needle. We also paid enormous amounts of cash for parking and later, a pizza dinner. At least there were leftovers from dinner! For what we spent on this day, we could have bought Heidi that new lens she's been wanting ... but how can I put a price tag on the posts I got out of the day?!

As mentioned in my profile page, portraits scare me to death and I'd almost rather shoot ANYTHING but portraiture. Even when they're someone as close to me as close family, I STRUGGLE with them. Just because someone can take nature or landscape shots doesn't mean that they can take flattering portraits! Posing and framing isn't easy either.

So, without further adieu (although by the time you're reading this, you've probably already seen the C.R.A.P.) here they are ...
