Owning a Dog is a Lifetime Commitement, PLEASE!!!

2008.08.03
This 3-year Springer Spaniel was surrendered and reported with behaviour problem, you know why? He was just taken for walk once a week! This is so ridiculous!! Come on! Springer Spaniels really need lots of exercise to prevent pent up energy turning into behaviour problems, this is 100% their fault and just don't know what they think!

Bradley, a super cute 3-year Corgi was surrendered because they have a baby at home, how selfish the people are and I doubt she will be a good mom in future! Sweetheart Bradley is homed and going home tomorrow!

Really can't imagine how can these heartless people can abandone this 2 lovely doggies, what are they thinking?!

This 6-year Beagle was saved from the AFCD and she was also surrendered by her owner

She is Fa Fa, a 5-year Bulldog girl, was surrendered with another Bulldog girl by a couple after their marriage broke up, these people are really selfish!

3 roomates: Fussy, Marmanade and Agatha

Karina just needs to cool down after the walk

Norma Jean was surrendered with Miller at a pet shop who had been using them for breeding

Zachary, a really nice blind dog

We are taking Dana out to swim in the stream

Benny seems doesn't feel like to play in the stream, even though Eric is using some treats to lead her to the water, she just stops there

Great! Otis is out and can go free walk in the front kennels

A success story in the Homing Day! This pup girl Hockey is going home with this couple to mid-level today, so happy for her!

Their friends just adopted a Beagle pup before them today, really a happy ending story!

Elmo, the Pug

Soya was found on the street a few months ago and almost dead, she is now fully recovered and really for adoption

This adorable little girl loves to follow Sally around and she loves Sally so much

This orange colour pup is my favourite

Hi Bacon, you are really growing up and look so cute!

She is Tasha, the first success story in the Homing Day, she is now around 3 months old

Pup is saying: Hi, baby!

Our dearest Baba, she was suffered GDV and couldn't overcome this critical situation, she is now in the rainbow bridge and no need to suffer anymore, Baba, we all love you so much!

I think saving dogs' lives from the AFCD and other places is the endless job for Sally as the selfish people are keep abandoning their dogs with the repeated excuses and reasons. You know, people have families, jobs, money, friends, homes but dogs have got nothing only us!

Come on! This is a lifetime commitement and they are lifes!

TheCrazyCroat It never ceases to amaze me and sicken me the lack of commitment, ownership and love people don't give dogs and the reasons they surrender them.

I wish I could take them all. Especially the corgi. I have one and he's my life!

KittyC Mandy--thanks for updating the situation at the kennels & totally agree with this week's heading. I can never understand how people can surrender their family members esp. when they get sick/old. For yr pics, the doggies given up are young & healthy...

My pom Bibi (14+) may have lost his cuteness--can't see/walk too well--but I'll still cuddle him after work, give him elderly treats which are soft enough & bring him to the vet when he needs vacinnation/get sick. He has been my companion since he's 2 (abandoned for "behavior problems, i.e. barking & biting"). As his owner, I think it is my obligation to spend time & effort to care for him till the very end.
