How Lucky of the Dogs in HKDR

2009.04.05
Lucky Tomato is going hom with this family today

Also for my photoblog front page dog Lila (aka Maple)

Back to our Lau Fau Shan dog kennels trip yesterday:
Wilson hand made some dogs bed by himself, each bed took him 3-4 days to make

Totally 6 beds with lots of work, how good hearted he is

Dogs come close to us to welcome and say Hi

Roof is broken and I am so worried about the raining season is coming

Kennels owner put around 10 dogs in different area

A beautiful Cocker Spaniel, looks not feeling well with him

Most of them are very friendly and good looking

We collected some donations and ordered 20 packs 17kgs dog food for them

Anna joined us and she just loved them

Again, this one with skin problem and being isolated

A very pretty Husky

See how gorgeous you are

May and her friend were helping some of them to take a bath

I wish I could take you out for a walk

This is the team, I am so appreciate for each one of you

HKDR kennels: This little pom Smile is going home tomorrow

New arrival little dog

Poor Georgina is still so sad after being abandoned since last Sunday

This big Labrador was also the chosen one to be taken from Lau Fau Shan kennels yesterday

WNP: Lime is so happy at WNP and she is going home tomorrow, so happy for you!

We also bring Chutney to WNP, he is so enjoy lar!

Kat, really happy for your babies, now only one left, finger and paws keep crossing!

Dogs in HKDR are really lucky, they have beds to sleep, food to eat everyday, volunteers sign up to walk them daily, people will take them to see the vet when got sick, cleaners will clean their kennels a least twice a day, frontline each month, etc..... but all this luck seems hardly find in some of the dogs kennels in Yuen Long.

It is such a heartbreaking trip when you see most of them with skin problems but you just stand outside and do nothing, for those who are lovely and look pretty you are thinking how to home them, so confused and my brain was blank for most of the day.

When back to the HKDR dog kennels, you will be happy for the dogs inside coz they are really lucky to be there.

ShirleyArnold Is there anything we can do to help the sick dogs? Like donating medicine or something? Too sad to see them suffering. Mandy, I usually look at your photos over and over again. For the very first time, I have to close the window and stop looking at them. Too sad.
