Moon Bear Woman - Jill Robinson

On 15th August, I had a chance to join Ali and Caroline Bullock to visit Jill Robinson. She is the founder of Animals Asia and she is the one saving the bears in China and Vietnam
|
She has five rescued dogs and seven cats at home
|
He is Eddie, was saved by Jill from meat table in China. What a lucky boy!
|
He is Big, a Newfoundland dog, his previous owner was committed suicide
|
This is the oldest dog of Jill, is now 16-year-old
|
Asiatic black bears (also known as moon bears because of the yellow crescent of fur splashed on their chests)

In countries across Asia, thousands of bears live their lives of torture in bear farms. Their bile is extracted and used in traditional medicine to cure ailments ranging from headache to haemorrhoid. Bears are confined in cages which vary from agonisingly tiny "crush" cages to larger pens, all of which cause terrible physical and mental suffering
|
So far Animals Asia has rescued 260 bears in China and 27 in Vietnam but about 7,000 are still suffering
|
HK University is conducting a study to prove Chinese herbal medicine is better than bear bile. Now Animal Asia is continuing to promote the herbal alternatives for bear bile in traditional medicine. For more information about the Moon Bear Rescue, please visit : http://www.animalsasia.org/

Kennels Update : This is Cara, a small-sized GR

Two small dogs were found on street in NT by a couple on Friday
|
They are now safe in the kennels, one boy
|
and one girl, both very sweet
|

Dog mom Lorna, she is putting on weight and looks happy!

Beefy is also one of the kennels dogs goes into the calendar
|
Good news from WNP this afternoon, these two puppies are adopted together, that is really great!
|
Jilly is also confirmed being adopted today
|
Buzz is also confirmed being adopted this afternoon
|
Remember this dog? He is Hilo (aka Mark), was adopted about two months ago by Kaili(L)
|
Kaili tells me Hilo is such a gentle and obedient dog
|
Maya (aka Martha) is also in WNP today
|
Still lots of puppies are available, this is Apple
|

very good news to see quite a number of adoption! Ms Rosbinson is really good in saving moon bears and stray animal. Hope more people like her appear.
