cool morning surprise

It was lovely and cool this morning, so I thought I would get some shots in before it became unbearable again. The Queen Anne's Lace was gorgeous in the sunshine so I thought I would try there first...

And then I saw this little lady hiding in one of the blooms! I think it is a Misumena vatia Goldenrod Crab Spider... but I'm not 100%. If it is, apparently it can change colour! I had no idea spiders could do this!

She was very shy.

But very pretty too, I thought.

What beautiful macros of the Queen Anne's Lace! Your shots give them the kind of royal treatment they deserve. I love the shots of the Spider, she's a looker......

The greens and whites are fabulous in these shots! The itty bitty spider only adds to the beauty!

Most of these are so exquisitely beautiful Marjorie. I didn't even flag any of them as inappropriate. It was a wonderful day here today as well. 70°, cloudy (but with contrast) and calm. It was heavenly actually.
