1 cup flour +
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup butter
1 Terry's Chocolate Orange Snowball, (less a piece or three for nibbling)
Preheat oven to 325F. Combine all ingredients except the chocolate in a large bowl and combine with your hands until well mixed (add more flour if necessary to make a dry dough). Press firmly into a 8" round cake pan. Use a fork to prick score lines to make 8 wedges. Bake for 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove and cut along score lines immediately. Cool completely in pan.
Remove from pan and place on a plate (or like me, flip the pan over and use the bottom). Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Use a spoon to drizzle over the shortbread. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
It's not exactly the same as Felecia's favourite
, but it's pretty darned good! (as proven by the empty plate)
