I was out for a walk this afternoon and heard this balloon... that's how close it was.

great capture! we used to see hot air balloons all the time when i was growing up but not so much anymore.... we even had one make an emergency landing in front of our house once!

Used to be many and often in the sky over Calgary - don't know about now - but its a lovely capture of a very elegant way to fly - quiet (apart from the hissing spurts) and they come in some very innovative shapes and colours…they would have had fun over Vancouver Island yesterday though - probably ended up in Hawaii!!!
