Every year in Alicante they have the great Las Hogueras Festival, it is a 5 day even filled with fireworks every day, no less than twice a day, nothing but drinking and eating all day long, and it is rounded up with the burning of the larger than life building size sculptures (Hogueras). It is an important part of the Alicante tradition and has a lot of cultural meaning.
