It's Boo-cookie time
2009.10.15
It's a long story, somewhat of an inside joke, I'll try to explain....A supermarket called Gelson's has a gorgeous bakery and several years ago, I asked Paul to go over to the bakery counter and get me a "boo cookie" because I love sugar cookies with frosting. This was before they started writing "boo" on the cookie. I should have asked him to get me a "ghost" cookie, but I said boo cookie for some reason. So he goes to the bakery and asks for a "boo cookie" with his thick Australian accent, totally misunderstood (and rightly so) by the Hispanic women behind the counter. Confusion ensues and I watch this unfold with utter amusement. Now every year, I've got to get my boo cookies from Gelson's around Halloween and since had to be near there today, today was the day. It's not the same getting it for myself but I'm logical and not sentimental, plus I just really wanted the cookies and wasn't going to wait for Paul to go. We are convinced that because Paul asked for the "boo" cookie many years ago, that's why they are now writing "boo" on the cookie. Yes, we are just that delusional.

I don't think there is any doubt that they added the "Boo" because of you and Paul!
