iPod for old people?
2009.10.22
My co-worker and I were consistently joking that the Kindle e-book reader is for old people because the only people we knew who had them were old. Then I saw one, touched it and thought I wanted one but waited. Then I saw it again, touched it again and I was sold. Then I bought one, posted about it on Facebook and one of my parents friends commented that she bought one for her husband's 65th birthday, thus making me feel it's for old people again.
I'm slowly getting used to it, and I feel old for having it, but I don't really care.

Now that you won't need them anymore, can I have your bookshelves. I mean your Kindle will look kind of lame on them all by itself. Besides if you reach up to get something off a bookshelf you might fall and break your hip.

Nah, I think you'd only be considered old if you had to pull out your reading glasses to read it.
Just for OLd folks???I think they are for affluent yuppies .it would be perfect to take on my many trips to Italy instead of getting my eyes robbed out paying for English books there or lugging books from the US and paying airline fees???????What say you now that you have a Kindle????
