Dying childhood/Haldokló gyermekkor

2008.02.02
The smoke comes from the other two trees- they burned them...
I must admit, these pics are not really good, I made them noisy, dark, to represent my mood.

Even more smoke

This is a montage from two pics as the last tree falls down.

My dog was allso upset about the situation.

These three pinewoods was there since I was a child. Now they decided to cut them out - it was a huge wind-storm a couple of days ago. The third one was my favorite, it was so severe, elegant... at first, it looked like they gonna save this one, but then... as I was standing in my window, taking photos of the falling tree, one of the workers was laughing at me. I tought "f*ck off, it's only a tree for you, but for me it's my childhood".... I'm gonna miss these trees. :(

Gyerekkorom óta ott állt ez a három fa a kertünk végéné lévő kerítés mögött. Tegnap kivágták őket, bár a napokkal ezelőtti szélvihar lebontotta a nagy ház egyik kéményét, a fák stabilan álltak. A középső ugyan megferdült, de ellenállt mindennek. Most, ha kinézek az ablakomon, fáj az üresség. Hiányozni fognak.

aknor Sorry they cut those trees...very sad - they were beautiful. You represented your mood very well in these shots - and it is amazing (but not surprising) that your dog seems upset, too. They sure do feel what we are feeling, don't they?

pindakaas what a shame! same thing happend to me, we had 2 huge pines in front of the house and they cut them down. They had always been there! But these pictures are great mood indicators. Well done!

gderuiter This is a powerfully moving photo essay -- meaningful documentation of an event that evokes memory and feeling.
