This is the lower part of our pasture...If it rains a lot for a week like it did two weeks ago, it can't drain off or soak into an already rain soaked ground and we have a temporary lake..

View from my porch..The Ouachita (pronounced Wah-shi-taw) river is still rising and is over flood stage..The water from nearby lakes and from Arkansas all drain into the Ouachita..I'm glad it has not rained anymore here lately and the river should crest just before real trouble. If we had rain from hurricane Iva like they feared it would have been disastrous.

it seems its the places the need it less that get it all. while those that can really use it are getting even less. is mother nature trying to tell us something?
