It looks a little like the black walnut trees that grow in these parts. I think I would prefer pecans. What a fantastic reward after all that hard work.

They like the heat!! We have many pecan trees in SC and plenty of heat! It was 97 degrees today!

Beautiful shot of your full tree, Sara. They have such pretty shapes. Yours looks really healthy - my mom had to remove hers from her yard because of it's size! And thanks for liking my zoo "eye" shots!

Nice. Pecans are a pretty big crop where I grew up. The orchards are lovely in the spring.
