Sky Rats & Crocuses

I experimented with my "long lens," an old 80-200mm zoom, today. The picture of the seagulls at Nye Beach looked like it should've been so easy. I had focusing and exposure problems. Even shooting in RAW, it was hard not to have the white of the bird's breast and the white caps "blow out."

The crocuses are in our front yard. Getting a clear, sharp picture of them was more difficult than I would have thought it should be.
