Moored Tall Ships

2008.05.13
The Hawaiian Chieftain sits moored to the dock.

A view off the stern over one of the stern guns. It's pointing roughly at the Lady Washington, which was getting refueled at the 76 station.

The stern cabin of the HC. It serves as the 12-person crew's mess, lounge, and a classroom when field trips bring children to see the ships.

The Lady Washington.

The bow, including the peak, figurehead and jibboom with Yaquina Bay bridge in the background.

Okay, here are the last, for this year, pictures of the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain. They leave Newport on the 13th and won't be back for at least a year. We went on the dockside tour today.
