This picture is a symbol of a belief that name NAKHL in yazd province-iran.
This nakhl is believed to be 600 years old. An equally large nakhl stands in a public square in Taft city and other similar but slightly smaller ones can be seen in Yazd, Kashan, Abuaneh cities and in Khorasan province too. On the day of the ÎAshura they are decorated with expensive colored fabrics and carried in procession by the population. Almost all the men, old or young, join to carry the nakhl on their shoulders. Some nakhls weigh several tons.

نخل حسينيه شاه‌ولي شهرستان تفت قديمي‌ترين نخل شناخته شده استان است كه جزيي از مجموعه شاه‌ولي شامل مسجد، بقعه، بازار، آب‌انبار، مدرسه و نخل است. اين مجموعه در فهرست آثار ملي كشور به ثبت رسيده و متعلق به قرن نهم هجري است. «وزن اين نخل تقريبا 2500 كيلوگرم و بلندي آن 9 متر است كه اخيرا توسط سازمان ميراث فرهنگي وگردشگري استان يزد مورد مرمت قرار گرفته است
