04-16-08 Theme: Gardening

You can tell from the background that my gardening is well over due! This is the side of my house.

The new bird bath stands where the new garden will be, but we haven't done much else.

Miles, of course, claims the new garden area "his," as he lounges around the rose bush. Thorns didn't seem to bother him.

I tell you what...I am really excited about gardening this year. I have already planted my spring bulbs in the front yard, and I can't wait to see when they finally pop up!

I am also creating a sun garden in my back yard for the first time. My front yard is all shade, so I have been yearning for a place to plant full sun beauties. My mother-in-law gave the pretty bird bath in the picture. It's going in the new garden. I haven't had the time to really attack that project yet, but I will soon.

The cats around here think I make them a new litter box every time I go out digging in the garden! Arghhhhh!

how exciting! creating a new garden. you're going to be a busy girl tending to two plots of land! lucky for you, you've got great helpers like Cashman and Miles (lol for some reason i just laughed out loud because this made me think of Batman and Robin).
