05-02-08 FIELD DAY!! - Early Classroom Capers

Ok, ok...I totally went over board with this post. I do realize this. HOWEVER, my class had such a fun time, and I had so many fun shots it was hard to narrow it down.

Chattanooga Christian School comes to our school every year and puts on a field day. It's not a series of serious games, but silly games that really let the kids enjoy the spring weather and each other. I think I enjoyed it more today than in years past. Maybe just because this year 5th grade's time frame was in the morning when it's cooler, rather than the afternoon. No sweating bullets for me! :)

Of course, it could be because even though these kids can really drive me up a wall, they are the best class I have had in years. There is a real connection between us, and I truly enjoy their personalities. Looking at these shots now, I know I am going to miss them like crazy next fall. There's going to be a lot of thoughts in my head that start off with, "My last years class..." There's a funny feeling in my gut that tells me I'm going to be comparing them to a lot of my future classes. These crazy nuts make me smile.
