05-08-08 Hollywood Nights

The night was a success! We put a lot of work into getting the gym ready, and it was worth it. The kids loved it. They came walking in on the red carpet, looking all svelte and dolled up.

Halfway through the night we gave out superlatives that had been voted on the previous day. There was a tie for best dancer, so we had a dance off. That was pretty fun. After the awards, everyone hit the dance floor and worked it. (big time.)

The lighting was awful, so most of my pictures were dark. I think Julie probably got some better shots, because she took some earlier in the night when it was still light outside. Cash was with me the first few minutes (waiting for dad to pick him up) and all the people/music/party horns were pretty much freaking him out. I had to hold him the entire time. Once Andre got there, it was getting too dark for good shots.

My team of 5th grade teachers decided to "Hollywood it up" as Julie said, and we wore black with boas. We were totally glam.
