Some of the animals/plants were mosaics, some watercolor, some oil pastels...all student made.

Students were suppose to create a scene depicting Island of the Blue Dolphins, not sure how an American flag and an army jeep made it into the assignment.

We wrote ocean stories, and I just loved this artwork!

I loved Island of the Blue Dolphins as a child!! It was the first book I cried in. (When the doggie dies) I sobbed in my bedroom. I knew I was doomed to be a sap for animals from there on. What a fun way to show the parents what your kids have been doing. Thanks for sharing!

Great set! I love the Octopus artwork! It always amazes me what we can pull off:) Glad we had a good turn out of families this time! Yay, I made it through this book:P

My favorite teachers were the ones that let us draw and do special projects. I'm sure that some students like that are in your care.

that last kid's story was totally dramatic. i was rapt 'til the end! love the flag and army truck, but evermore so, the GIANT dog head popping through the popcicle house roof. hilarious.
