06-09-08 Last Day

Today was my last day to spend with my parents. **sniff sniff** They only had time for a quick trip, and had to get back to work. I am not sure if I will see them again before Thanksgiving, so it is kind of sad to think about.
On a happier note, Cash had a blast with them. He warmed up to them instantly and was going around the house calling out for "Papa and Granny" the whole weekend. He hadn't seen them since Christmas, so I wasn't sure how he would react.
For our last day together, I took them on the Southern Belle. YES- this would be my third time on the boat this spring. However, they had never been and I had some super great coupons. :) It was pretty hot, but overall a fantastic time.
Afterwards, Cash passed out for his nap while mom and I went shopping. On the way home we decided no cooking for us...we must get Chinese. Mr. Wok is our neighborhood Chinese take-out place, and I must say...delicious. Very sweet people too. :)
We talked most of the evening and just enjoyed the last few moments of family time.

I'm so glad you got to visit with your parents, and that Cash enjoyed their visit. I know it must be hard to not live so close to family.

"we must get chinese" is the most hilarious thing i have ever read. i can just hear you saying it. why does chinese food have this affect on people?! it's like crack! ... i think i need chinese for dinner tonight lol

Oh yum, Chinese. My most favorite takeaway food. I don't eat it when I'm PG however, so seeing this makes me crave all that yummy rice, sweet & sour, honey chicken......... agh! ;-) Here's hoping you get to see your Mum & dad again waaaay before thanksgiving :-)
