Andre and I decided today would be a good day to take Cash up to the Ocoee River. When you take a ride up toward the river, you enter into Cherokee National Forest. Chilhowee is a mountain that has great camping areas, hiking, biking, and a lake. In college we went up to Ocoee a lot. (I went to college at Lee University in Cleveland, Tn which is closer than Chattanooga to the river.)

If we weren't at Chilhowee, we were at the "Blue Hole" which is a great swimming hole. It's actually where the Olympic kayaking competitions were held back in '96. (our 15 minutes of fame) In any case, when the dam isnt open the water is calm and really great for swimming. I wanted to go there today, but as luck would have it...the dam was open...kayaking galore! The lake would be our destination.

It was really overcast and hazy, so there weren't too many opportunities for great scenic photos. There were a couple that had good color, so here they are! Hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed being there.
