06-19-08 The Reason I bought My House

Ok, so maybe the title is a little bit of an exaggeration. I will say, the flower boxes are the reason I even looked at the house, and having loved the rest of the home; they sealed the deal.

Although I am by no means a "cookie cutter" type of person, and completely live in the current generation...there's just something about the outside of a house looking very "Beaver Cleaver" to me. I love it. Not sure why, maybe because my life growing up was so far from the Cleaver deal...but whose life did replicate that show?

Anyhoo, I love my little white bungalow home, with maroon shutters, and nice little landscaping (not a lot, but enough to look good), and my pretty flower boxes. It's kind of like a security blanket to me. No matter how crazy life can get, how stressed or busy, how things might seem to fall apart around me..I still get out of my car each day and see a little piece of normal. That little piece is all I need.
