07-19-08 Rock City

The entrance

I follow Andre and Cash with my camera going nuts!

The famous bridge.

Eagle's nest, from where it is said to be able to see 7 states.

The marker to tell you which direction each state is and how far. I think you can see Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, and West Virginia.

A little set up for kids to find stones.

Cash attempts, but is more interested in splashing water than finding stones.

They have the prettiest flowers....

This is the bridge that the scaredy cats watch across...

I will admit that I thought this whole Fairyland thing was creepy...

Andre and I took Cash up to Rock City today. We were blessed by Julie with a free family pass...AWESOME. Cash loved it! All the caves and as he called them "tunnels!" It was really busy, and loads of people, so I wasn't able to take as much time with my camera as I would have liked.

I know this is another long set, but there is so much beauty there! I am pretty sure these do not do it justice, but you all will get the feel for what it's like. If ever in Chattanooga, it's a must see!

Tracy

ps- I know I have been slacking on PB...I've been so exhausted lately...will catch up soon!

ncshutterbug I'd be on that scaredy cat bridge, for I am a scaredy cat. It's a beautiful bridge!

Some friends of mine in Texas have a bird house with See Rock City painted on the roof. I love the story of the See Rock City barns, and someday I'll get to Rock City itself.

You can see NC from there! Did you see me waving to you? :)
