I had fun playing with the colors.
Although I added some brilliance in color to shots the sunrise was beautiful on it's own.

One good trick is to lock the exposure on a point above the sunrise/sunset which will give you "naturally" saturated colours.So, you aim at the sky above the sun and half depress the shutter button and then re-compose and shoot.
